Container Condition & Cosmetics

Shipping containers are heavy-duty industrial equipment built for ocean freight, not luxury display pieces. Unless you are specifically purchasing a custom-painted or fully modified unit, the following conditions apply:

• Used/Cargo Worthy Units: Will exhibit surface rust, dents, dings, scratches, and previous shipping line decals. These are cosmetic imperfections only and do not affect the structural integrity or wind/watertight nature of the unit.
• "One-Trip" (New) Units: Have been loaded with cargo and shipped across the ocean exactly once. While they are in pristine condition compared to used units, they may still have minor scuffs, forklift marks, or small abrasions from their single voyage.
• Color Variations: Unless a specific color is paid for and guaranteed in writing, containers are dispatched based on availability. Colors cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery & Property Damage

Our delivery trucks and trailers weigh upwards of 30,000 lbs empty, and significantly more when loaded. By authorizing our drivers to enter your property beyond the public curb, you assume all risk for potential ground damage.

Delmarva Containers and our affiliated transport carriers are NOT liable for:

• Cracked concrete, paver driveways, or damaged asphalt.
• Tire ruts left in grass, mud, or soft earth.
• Damage to underground utilities, sprinkler systems, or septic tanks if the driver is instructed to cross them.
• Damage to overhanging tree branches or unmarked low-hanging wires.

Permits, Zoning, & HOAs

It is strictly the customer's responsibility to research, understand, and comply with all local city codes, county zoning laws, and Homeowner Association (HOA) regulations regarding the placement of shipping containers on their property.

Delmarva Containers accepts no liability for citations, fines, or forced removals resulting from unpermitted or prohibited placement. If a container must be relocated due to a zoning violation, standard transport fees will apply.
